Craighead Caverns and the underground lake
We went to some caves last Saturday and went on a boat ride on an underground lake. Nathaniel was excited and loved every minute of it. Cassandra did pretty well also. We hiked about 3/4 of a mile down through caves to the dock where we boarded a boat and took a little ride. Supposedly it is the largest underwater lake in the U.S. The Cherokee Indians used the caves for rituals and a meeting place. During the civil war the Confederate Army mined it for saltpeter, which was used to make gunpowder.

Winter is almost over
It's been a long winter; colder and snowier for this part of the country. We'll be glad when it's over and some warmer weather comes around. We were all sick most of January, and we're ready for this season to be over with. Cassandra has been crawling for several weeks now and is also standing up on her own. She'll probably be walking soon.
Nathaniel started primary in January and he seems to like it. He had to adjust to sitting in a chair for a period of time instead of being able to run around and play with toys. It's hard for him to sit still and he's usually either kneeling in his chair facing backwards, or falling off of it because he's so fidgety.
